Khan Lab School’s admissions deadline is January 15 for all grades, with applications reviewed year-round after that date if space allows. Requirements vary by grade: student questions for grades 4-5, a self-recorded video for grades 6-11, and teacher evaluations for grades 7-11. Every family completes a required Parent/Guardian Conversation, and tuition assistance applications are also due January 15.

Unlike schools with staggered deadlines by grade band, Khan Lab School uses a single January 15 deadline across Transitional Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Tuition Assistance Deadline
Families applying for need-based tuition assistance through SSS must submit that application by January 15 as well, the same date as the general admissions deadline. Applications submitted after this date are considered only if funds remain available.

Because requirements scale by grade rather than following one universal checklist, the most common scheduling mistake is assuming a younger sibling’s process will look the same for an older child.
