Do I need to take the SAT and the ACT?

Nope, just one will do. Most U.S. colleges accept either the SAT or the ACT—they don’t prefer one over the other. That said, some students perform better on one test than the other, depending on strengths, timing preferences, and question styles.

The SAT is now digital and adaptive, while the ACT is still paper-based in most locations. We recommend taking a diagnostic for both and comparing your scores and comfort level. For Dubai students balancing IB, A-levels, or American curricula, we’ll help you choose the better fit. Think of it as picking your weapon in a video game: you only need one, but it better be the right one.
