Does Chadwick School require community service?

No. The Chadwick School does not require that its students complete any community service as part of its graduation requirements. However, the school is staunch in its belief that community service is just as important as academic excellence in the development of character. Students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of community service activities. Chadwick School works in collaboration with a number of local and international volunteer projects that allow students, regardless of grade level, to serve in soup kitchens, support underresourced families, read to at-risk youth, and more. A record 57% of all Chadwick students participate in community service each week. Community service opportunities vary for each educational stage. Village School students learn the importance of giving back to the world. Middle School students are taught to apply their growing concern for the world around them. Upper School students embrace their role in contributing to positive change.
