When should Dubai families start preparing for the STAR Assessment?

The earlier, the better, but don’t panic if you’re just getting started. Most families find that prepping about two to three months before a planned test window gives their child plenty of time to get comfortable with the format, review key skills, and take a few mock tests.

Since STAR can be offered multiple times per year, it’s easy to plan around your school’s calendar. Starting after a major break (like winter or spring holidays) often works well. Early prep lets students build confidence at a steady pace, rather than cramming at the last minute. And bonus, it keeps test anxiety low and performance high.
