What questions should parents ask during a campus tour or info session?

Time to channel your inner investigative journalist (clipboard optional). Ask, “What does a typical day look like?” and “How do you support different learning styles?” But also go deeper: “What kind of student doesn’t do well here?” Ask about leadership opportunities, social-emotional support, and how discipline is handled (because yes, even angelic kids mess up). Chat with current parents if you can—what surprised them after enrolling? You want real answers, not polished marketing speak. The more specific your questions, the more honest (and useful) the answers. Remember, you’re not buying a car—you’re choosing a community. So don’t be afraid to ask the uncomfortable stuff.
