What kinds of activities does the Hoosac School astronomy club offer?

The Galactica Astronomy Club at Hoosac School does way more than just look at stars! Picture this: epic stargazing sessions right on campus, meteor shower parties (BYO comfy blanket!), and even showing off their best space pics in photo contests. They also wrangle real-life scientists and space whiz kids to drop by and blow minds with talks and workshops on everything from building rockets that (hopefully!) fly to the secrets of alien planets.

You’ll probably get to play with some seriously cool telescopes, try your hand at photographing the cosmos, and dive into space science with hands-on experiments that are way more exciting than your average science class. Some nights, they even give the rest of the school a guided tour of the night sky—think of it as being a cosmic VIP! It’s a wild ride of learning, “I can’t believe I’m seeing this!” moments, and memories that are light-years beyond ordinary.
