What if I change my mind after committing to a school?

While committing to a school is a serious decision, it’s not legally binding unless you’ve signed a contract (which private schools might have). That said, pulling out of your commitment can have consequences, especially if it’s after the deadline. You might lose your deposit, or the school might be less than thrilled. If you’re truly second-guessing, talk to a counselor before making any moves. And next time, maybe sleep on it for a few nights before hitting “Accept.”
