What are some common types of questions asked during the Head-Royce interview?

The questions usually asked during the admissions interview are designed to give an overview of the applicant’s interests, passions, academic curiosity, and extracurricular involvement. There could also be situational questions to understand how they deal with challenges and measure their critical thinking.

To prepare for the interview so your child questions without sounding scripted, focus on open-ended discussions rather than memorizing responses. Talk naturally and use vocabulary that they are comfortable with. When talking about their interests, focus on they why instead of enumerating the things they are interested in. For academics, discuss specific subjects and state why they like them. It is also important to teach your child to be honest and genuine with their answers. The goal is for them to articulate their thoughts and experiences authentically, allowing their personality to shine through in a relaxed and comfortable manner.
