Does Woodland School require standardized testing?

Woodland School does not require standardized tests like the ISEE or SSAT as part of the admissions process. Instead, they take a more well-rounded approach to getting to know each applicant. The school focuses on school records, a student visit, a parent meeting, and for students applying to grades 5 through 8, a virtual writing assessment called the Online Essay. This gives the admissions team a fuller picture of how a child learns, thinks, and interacts without relying on test scores alone. Woodland is more interested in curiosity, engagement, and fit than in bubble sheets and score reports. If you’re applying, focus on showing who your child really is rather than stressing about prep books and practice exams.
