The Hoosac School’s application requirements vary by grade level. Below is a breakdown of the necessary documents and steps for each division:

Grades 8–11 (Primary Entry Grades)

Required:

  • Online application (via Hoosac website or SAO)
  • Academic transcripts from the past 2–3 years
  • Teacher recommendations
    • 1 from a current English teacher
    • 1 from a current Math teacher

  • Personal statement or writing sample (student-written)
  • Interview (student and parent/guardian, via Zoom or in person)
  • Student photo (optional)
  • Standardized test scores (optional – SSAT, ISEE accepted but not required)
  • English proficiency test for international students (e.g., Duolingo English Test)

Grades 12 & Postgraduate Year
