What subjects are covered in the STAR Assessment, and how is it different from Dubai school tests?

The STAR Assessment focuses on two main areas: Reading and Math. But don’t expect your typical Dubai school exam here. STAR is computer-adaptive, meaning it adjusts the difficulty of questions based on your child’s responses. If they get a question right, the next one gets harder. Miss one, and it gets easier. It’s more of a digital chess match than a standard test.

The Reading section looks at comprehension, vocabulary, and analysis, while Math dives into number sense, problem-solving, and fluency. Unlike Dubai school tests, which might rely on rote learning or predictable formats, STAR is quick, dynamic, and designed to zero in on skill level with surprising accuracy.
