If you are strongly convinced that you are a competitive candidate for your chosen university and that it is the best-fit school for you, go ahead and apply for Early Decision. But make thorough research beforehand to determine if factors such as tuition and geographical locations are not an issue for your family and that the school’s values and culture resonate well with yours.

If you’re undecided and uncertain about any of the factors mentioned above, reduce your stress by keeping your options open and apply Early Action or by Regular Decision.
