Established in 1995 by Megan Callaway, Victoria Shorr, and Dr. Diana Meehan, The Archer School for Girls was built on research regarding the benefits of their founding principles of innovation, community, and diversity. They have a program called Advanced Study Research in Science and Engineering (RISE) that is centered around the student’s interests and focuses on how they can best learn. Archers also study abroad and do outreach, such as Peace Works Travel in Mexico and Cambodia and Lita in Spain. Beyond Science and Outreach, this institution also values the arts, having a program called the Institute for Film & Video Literacy. The Archer School for Girls admissions require:
1. Filling out an online application on their site.
2. Admissions Interview.
3. Writing and Mathematics tests are to be completed at home.
4. Recommendations from a School Administrator and current Math and English teachers.
5. Current/recent school transcript.
6. Optional Day Visit for the Applicant.
For a lauded school such as Archers, slots for admissions will be limited due to their exclusivity. Cardinal Education helps families with services such as test prep, interview preparation, and private school admissions consulting.
