01Testing Policy
Students applying for Grade 3 and up must take the ISEE or SSAT; please use LJCDS school code 051333. Standardized tests are not needed for grades below Grade 3. All testing must be finished by February 1.

02Recommendations
For Grades TT through 4, you must provide an Administrative Recommendation from someone other than a teacher. A Teacher Recommendation is required for Grades TT–K. You are also welcome to submit an optional recommendation from a former teacher, coach, or mentor. You can start requesting these on or after December 1.

03Interviews
For K–Grade 4, parents or guardians have a separate interview (adults only). Applicants for Grades 5–11 participate in a Family Interview that includes both parents and the student.

All applicants need to complete a Parent Questionnaire (maximum 150 words per prompt), along with a required student essay component.
