Rye Country Day keeps campus open well past dismissal. Lower School Extended Day serves Kindergarten through Grade 4 children of working parents and guardians until 5:30 p.m. After-school clubs run for Lower and Middle School students in eight-week sessions across fall, winter, and spring, meeting from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. Middle Schoolers can use the Homework Center until 6:00 p.m., and Upper School students may stay until 6:00 p.m. as well.
Lower School Extended Day
Extended Day is offered to Kindergarten through Grade 4 students of working parents and guardians, running from the end of the academic day until 5:30 p.m. For families managing a commute, that window is the difference between workable and not. The program gives younger children a supervised, familiar environment with time to play, unwind, and settle after a full day rather than shifting immediately into another structured setting.
After-School Clubs
Clubs are offered to Lower and Middle School students in eight-week sessions during the fall, winter, and spring, and they run from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. Offerings reflect interests as varied as chess, drama, hip-hop dancing, and yoga. Upper School students may stay on campus until 6:00 p.m., and the campus stays busy after the academic day with athletics, arts, group work, and club meetings.
