Founded in 1861, The Pingry School has grown into one of New Jersey’s most selective independent schools, serving students from Kindergarten through 12th grade across two primary campuses — Short Hills for Lower School (K–5), and Basking Ridge for Middle School (6–8) and Upper School (9–12). The school became coeducational in 1974.
Pingry is known for academic rigor, with dozens of AP and Advanced Topics courses and over 100 student clubs, alongside a strong emphasis on individual growth and social responsibility. Its Pottersville campus adds a K–12 experiential learning dimension, from environmental science to outdoor immersion programs.
