In this retelling of the Norwegian fairy tale "East of the Sun and West of the Moon," a young woman named Rose agrees to live with an enormous white bear in exchange for her family's prosperity, only to discover the bear is a prince cursed by a cruel troll queen. When Rose accidentally breaks the terms of the enchantment, she must journey to a land east of the sun and west of the moon to save him.
