Are clubs mandatory at Mid-Pen?

Nope, clubs at Mid-Pen are totally optional. Think of them more like a build-your-own-adventure than a checklist. If a student wants to dive into three clubs and lead one, great. If they’d rather hang out with friends at lunch and skip the extracurriculars altogether, also totally fine. There’s no pressure to join, but the options are there when inspiration strikes. Some students join for fun, others for connection, and some just to try something new without committing to a full-on hobby. Clubs are there to enhance the high school experience, not add extra stress. Show up when it feels right, and skip it when it doesn’t.
